Shop local at White’s Mercantile
White’s Mercantile has always held a special place in my heart. My first year at Lipscomb, I spent most of my days exploring the 12 South area, where there was an abundance of restaurants and stores. However, one shop in particular always caught my eye.
Housed in a renovated gas station, White’s Mercantile is hard to miss. The white brick outside is strongly contrasted by the warm wood interior. It’s a cozy shop, where the floor creaks as you browse the locally-made offerings.
From candles to canvases, I have discovered so many great finds at White’s. They have a great selection of accessories, featuring do-gooder brands such as The Giving Keys. Folksy and fun, White’s Mercantile is what I consider to be a heart-of-Nashville shop. Everything is made to look and feel like our city in the south. This is a must-see for any tourist, and a great place to become a regular at for locals. Be sure to check it out!
